BEIJING ROCK Stars: Daniel Wu, Hsui Chi Synopsis: Through the precarious journey of these three characters, we see the delicate love-hate relationship among people from different walks of life ˇV dreamers, doers, whiners, money-grabbers, winners and losers. A totally different Beijing, young and restless, romantic and colorful, fragile and daring, is revealed for the first time against the powerful beat of Chinese rock and roll.
THE BLADE Stars: Zhao Wen Zhuo Synopsis: On with only one arm left and his father’s broken blade is on his way to find the guy who killed his father. Comments: This is a very dark, violent, and intensed movie. One may hate it or like it. I like it. You won't find much wire works in here like you would in Yuen Wo-Ping films, but rather realistic fighting sequences excellent directed by Tsui Hark. This is definitely one of the Tsui Hark’s best works – A “must-see” for any Tsui Hark’s fans. [5/5]
BORN WILD Stars: Louis Koo, Daniel Wu, Patrick Tam Synopsis: The estranged twin brothers, Tan and Tide, had
been fought for the best since they were born. Tan was an outgoing, active
and was considered a bright child whereas Tide was the opposite; he was shy
and introverted. However, he was just as bright as Tan but kept it to
himself. On his twenty-six birthday, Tide receives news that his twin
brother, Tan is died. He tries to investigate the mystery death of Tan. In
Tan's house, he meets Tan's lover sandy and Mann whom was Tan's best friend.
Finally, he discovers that his brother was framed in boxing match and killed
during the fight. At the same time, Tide finds himself being attracted to Sandy's
warmth and fixes himself as the opponent of Tan's murderer and avenges his
death.
BULLETS OF LOVE Stars: Leon Lai, Asaka Seto Synopsis: Sam and his team are members of a Serious Crime Unit in the District
Crime Squad. The team successfully arrests an international crime
organization's leaders, Night. At the Court, Ann, a prosecutor and Sam's
financee, tries her best to convict Night. However, finally, Night is
convicted on only one charge and sentenced to three years imprisonment. Night
vows to take his revenge and destroy the couple one day. Ann and Sam take a
trip to Paris and the assassin monitors them. Sam is completely crushed by
the dealth of Ann that he starts a new life as a bar owner on Lamma. Two
years laters, Sam meets a Japanese tourist, you who looks exactly like Ann,
and he cannot help but fall in love with her. |
